Clinical Laboratory Services

Our full-service laboratory is open every day around the clock and provides immediate response to the Emergency Department and acute inpatient needs. Clinical diagnostic and therapeutic testing are available in the areas of chemistry, blood bank, immunology, hematology, microbiology, coagulation and pathology.

Today's laboratory services at Memorial are science with a human touch. Lab personnel work hard to achieve timely results and to make the experience for patients as pleasant as possible. Our experienced phlebotomists share a sincere concern for their patients and for making the process as brief and stress-free as possible.

Transfusion service and autologous blood collection are also available for patients who are having surgery at Memorial or elsewhere. Autologous blood collection offers patients planning elective surgery the opportunity to give their own blood in advance of the procedure. Should the need arise to use the blood, a person's concerns about risks or availability of donor blood can be completely eliminated.
