Douglas C. Taylor MD, FAAOS, FRCS(c) a graduate of Dalhousie University Medical School in Nova Scotia, Canada, practiced occupational medicine and family medicine in London, Ontario, before returning to Halifax to complete a residency in orthopedic surgery. After completing his Canadian Royal College of Surgeons fellowship examinations, he was offered a position in Paducah, Kentucky, where he served as a partner in a private orthopedic practice for seven years.

Dr. Taylor completed the American Board of Orthopaedic Certification examination, and went on to serve as Chief of Surgery for a two-year term at Western Baptist Hospital, a regional referral center offering a full range of surgical services, prior to coming to the Mt. Washington Valley.

Dr. Taylor has experience in treating orthopedic conditions including trauma, sports medicine, arthroscopy, hand surgery and hip and knee replacement surgery.
