Volunteering

Volunteers contribute their time in the hospital in many different capacities and departments. Our hospital volunteers choose where they want to work and how often. Volunteer opportunities are available in the hospital, the Gift Shop, and at Merriman House, our nursing home facility. Student inquiries are welcome.

Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month and feature guest speakers as well as an opportunity to exchange ideas. The meetings are held in the Sun Room (on the second floor of the white building) at 1:00pm; visitors are always welcome. The volunteers do not meet in July or August.

 Medicare Assistance – A State Certified Volunteer Program

If you have questions about Medicare coverage or your bills, our specially trained volunteers are available every first and second Wednesday of the month at the hospital, and every Thursday afternoon at the Gibson Center for Senior Services. Free and confidential.
